Our Tuft & Needle Mattress Experience

 

Zachary has been wanting to upgrade from our tiny little queen sized mattress to a king size for about 2 years now. I was incredibly excited to team up with Tuft & Needle to try out their amazing mattresses!

Shipping

Shipping was very fast and FREE! It took no time to arrive and best of all it comes in a small (for a KING sized mattress!) box. The actual mattress is sealed up inside a plastic vacuum sealed bag making it super compact.

Unboxing & Set Up

All I had to do was get a little help from my future sister in law (she’s only 15 and we totally tackled this by ourselves) to roll out the sealed mattress on the bed frame. Then I just cut open the sealed bag. The mattress instantly started to inflate. I thought it would take a few hours to inflate but really it only took a few minutes.

Is it comfortable?

I’m not going to lie. This was a total surprise for Zach but I was worried he wouldn’t like the mattress. He often has trouble with his neck or his back from working out so he’s sensitive to the mattresses he sleeps on. I had my fingers and toes crossed that he would sleep well on it and not have any complaints about back or neck pain.

So far we’ve had the mattress for a week and he LOVES it! Zero complaints about back or neck pain. He said he is sleeping better (I am as well) and he loves how comfortable it is.

I truly think it’s the perfect combination of soft yet still firm. I haven’t experienced any back or neck pain myself and I’m sleeping like a rock!

Localized bounce: If I have to get up out of bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom Zachary doesn’t even know. Likewise when he’s moving around in his sleep I’m over here sleeping like a baby still.

You’ll never guess how much I paid for this gorgeous bed frame

Since I knew we had this amazing Tuft & Needle mattress on the way I had to start searching for a new bed frame. Originally I went to Wayfair and decided to order just a headboard. I planned on finding some box springs and just using those. I paid $184 for the headboard which I liked but I wasn’t completely over the moon for it.

When I started looking at box springs I was surprised at how expensive they were. Even used one’s were either hard to come across or were more pricey than I wanted to spend.

So I decided to check Amazon to see what they had for bed frames.

Lo and behold I found this absolute beauty for get this $164!! For a KING sized bed frame! I was absolutely shocked! Shipping was $54 and with tax my grand total was just over $216!

The reviews on the bed were all amazing! Most of them saying they couldn’t believe the quality of the bed for the price.

So I took the leap!! I ordered this bed and ended up returning the headboard I ordered from Wayfair.

I am SO thankful I got this instead! No box spring needed. It’s absolutely GORGEOUS and I ended up spending less on this entire bed frame & headboard than I would have otherwise.
