Who doesn’t crave some hot chocolate during the holidays? Here I’ve created a healthy hot chocolate version thats not only high in protein & low in sugars BUT it will also help your hair, skin & nails! This healthy hot chocolate has 30 grams of protein!!
On Christmas eve I was having a WONDERFUL quiet afternoon. The baby… well I guess I should say the toddler, was sleeping and the boyfriend was quietly playing video games in the other room. (sigh) Ahhhh bliss! It was wonderful to sit and watch the snow fall down outside and curl up in front of the TV to watch “White Christmas.”
Yet, something was missing. I was really feeling like a nice cup of hot chocolate. Except there was one problem– I had been SO good with my nutrition so far during the holidays. I hadn’t splurged too much so I wanted to make sure I stuck with my clean streak. I needed to figure out a way to make healthy hot chocolate.
So I went to my kitchen and opened up our supplement cabinet. I pulled out my favorite chocolate post workout shake, Beachbody Performance Recover as well as my tub of Sports Research Collagen Peptides. The collagen peptides I use are not flavored. They seriously don’t taste like anything BUT they are an awesome boost of Collagen to your hair, skin and nails. #CanIGetAnAmen?!
What happened was MAGIC! My healthy hot chocolate was seriously so delicious AND it was not even a huge “cheat” on my healthy eating.
Ingredients
1 scoop Chocolate Beachbody Performance Recover
1 scoop Sports Research Collagen Peptides
8 oz hot water
Directions
Bring your water to a boil. Pour into your favorite mug. Slowly stir in Chocolate Beachbody Performance Recover and Sports Research Collagen Peptides. Sit down under a ward, cuddly blanket and enjoy!
It’s seriously so easy to make and SO delicious to enjoy!
