If you’re seeking to be more productive at throughout your entire day and create a really solid morning routine, look no further. Today we’re going to be talking about my fall productive morning routine.
This morning routine has helped me to feel so much more productive. I know as an entrepreneur I had so many of those days where I felt like I was just doing the busy work, not really doing the work that really moves the needle and I didn’t realize that what it really came down to was also not just implementing time management into my days, which I will do another blog on another day. (If you’d like that blog, please comment below and let me know you’d like to learn more about how I utilize Time Blocking.) But it was also my morning routine that needed a complete makeover to help me to feel more productive, not just through my mornings, but throughout the entire day.
So without further

Morning Routine Revamped
This is my current morning routine. I am just kind of starting at just implementing it and making small tweaks as I go. I have been doing a morning ritual this whole entire year, 2018. It was a big goal of mine to create a really solid morning routine.
I’m adding in some new things more recently after I went to
One of the biggest things that I learned at
So I started using Google calendar this past week to help me to plan out my morning routine. I like google calendar since it syncs on all of my devices and I also like using the “Goals” feature. Goals allows me to create my “Must Do Morning Routine Habits”, which I’ll share with you shortly. I like how the I can mark off each habit as “Did It” on the app and it will also track how many times I completed each habit for the week.
Must-Do Morning Routine Habits
I use Google calendar to track my morning routine but what am I actually doing for my routine?
1. Journaling
First thing, you guys know I am really big into journaling this year. I really wanted to get into journaling, manifesting, writing out my goals and writing out my life how I want to be living it. So first thing in the morning after I’ve had some coffee, I am waking up and doing that journaling time. I’m writing out my gratitude, I’m writing out things how I want them to manifest into my life. Some mornings I’ll write two to three pages, some mornings I’ll only get out a half a page.
Doing my journaling first as part of my morning routine is really helping me to set the tone for the day.
2. Meditating
The second part of my morning routine is my meditation time. I’m giving myself 10 to 15 minutes to do my meditations. As I’ve mentioned before in previous videos/blogs, I use different apps for meditating.
Recently I’ve been using the Volo
Volo TV is a $10 per month subscription to online personal development courses and you get a whole library of personal development courses for just 10 bucks a month, including meditations and these meditations have been absolutely incredible. I am really, really enjoying them because I was starting to get bored with some of my old meditation Apps.
So if you are meditating and you’re starting to get bored with your meditation Apps, this is a really great next level meditation source for you to find different meditation audios and also personal development courses.
Just go to Volo.TV to sign up for a free 7 day trial. Make sure you put me down as your referrer ;).
3. Reading
After I’m done with my meditation, I will read a book for 20 to 30 minutes. Usually, it’s a personal development book. I typically leave my fiction reads for nighttime. I want to read my personal development and self-help books in the morning to help me to get into the right mindset.
You might prefer like to listen to audio books or to podcast the morning. I totally understand that. I personally really liked to read a book because it’s nice quiet time in the morning for me to be able to simply just sit back and read my book and feed my soul and really just enjoy my morning cup of coffee and just enjoy my morning a little bit more.
4. Moving
I learned so much at high performance academy of how important mobility is. I’ve been having severe neck pain for the past year probably from working on the computer, working on my phone and just not having proper posture when I do so, so it’s been so important for me to get my body moving, get that flexibility again.
I’m 31 years old. I can definitely tell that I’m losing my flexibility so I will just find a quick 10, 15,
Also getting moving in the morning is going to help you wake up and get your brain going, get you ready for your day. Making some form of exercise part of your morning routine has been shown to improve cognition throughout the day.
5. Planning
The last thing that I focus on for my fall productive morning routine is planning my day. Again, I go back to my google calendar and I plan out the day for myself.
This was something that I was avoiding doing for so long because I was like, “Oh, I’m a free spirit. I just flow. I just let myself flow and I just do things when I feel like doing them…” and honestly it was not working for me. I was not getting things done. I was not working as hard as I should be on my businesses.
What I really needed was something to actually keep me organized. I’ve been telling myself for the longest time that I’m not that kind of organized Type-A person. I’m more of a creative personality, but actually, I found that I thrive on organization and structure.
Planning out my day first thing in the morning helps me to really know what I need to get done today. It helps me to get in the right mindset of the things that I want to accomplish and check off my to-do list. It helps me to block out time for shooting my YouTube videos, write blogs, create new planners and continuing growing my businesses.
If you’re looking great planners I do have an Etsy shop where I sell digital planners of all kinds: Business Planners, Direct Sales Planners, New Moon & Full Moon Ritual Planners.
