Guess what finally happened?!
We eloped!
After nine years of being in love Zachary and I finally decided it was time to make our love official and we tied the knot with a boho wedding elopement.
Amazingly we pulled it all together in about 3 weeks time. The only thing I had purchased prior to then was the Rue De Seine wedding gown and my dried flower bouquet.
We’ve been together since 2012 and had been engaged since 2017. I guess you could say that we weren’t really in a hurry for many reasons. We already felt like we were married ever since our son Sebastian came along in 2014. And also, I do NOT like planning even something as small as a dinner party with friends, let alone plan an entire wedding. So over the years we’ve just sort of put it off.
Around September Zachary said to me a few times that we really should go ahead and just make it official. He had mentioned going to the courthouse to tie the knot but that wasn’t going to fly for me. I wanted to have a special day for the two of us with just a few close friends. Thus the planning began.
We decided on Alstrom Point near the Arizona Utah border. Alstrom point is about a two hour drive outside of Page Arizona and is the most spectacular location. The views are AMAZING, like something from another world.
Since it’s a long drive and we had a few guests coming I wanted to make sure we had a good time and were well fed so my friend Cody was kind enough to help me with creating a beautiful charcuterie table and since it’s a wedding my friend Shannon helped bake the most beautiful marbled fondant cake.
On the big day we packed up all the things, including my dining room table, and headed up to the point. The weather was spectacular. Literally could not have been more perfect.
I want to give a HUGE thank you to our friends who came along for the ride and a special thank you to our Videographer Anthony Palmero and our Photographer Chrissy Marie for helping to capture our special day.
